Rescue Diver

This course will better prepare you to handle the diving related incidents that can occur.  Anticipating problems and becoming more aware of changes that may signal trouble developing with either you or your partner are part of the rescue divers skills.  You will learn to be a better, more confident diver while becoming a more effective dive buddy.    

In addition, specific training is given in proper rescue techniques both under water and on the surface. Two days of open water dive experience using the rescue skills learned is required to complete the certification.  Prerequisites are you must be 15 years or older, have an advanced rating and hold a current First Aid and CPR certification. The DAN Oxygen Provider course is also required.
